Detail
Hesperidin is the dried young fruit extract of Citrus aurantium L. and its cultivated varieties or Citrus sinensis Osbeck, a Rutaceae plant. Citrus bergamot fruit, banana fruit, citrus fruit, lemon fruit, citron peel, and mature citron fruit of Rutaceae plants; Cruciferae plant shepherd's purse with roots.
Fine dendritic needle crystal (obtained by precipitation at pH 6-7). Melting point 258-262 ℃ (softening at 250 ℃)[ α] 20D-76 ℃ (C=2, pyridine). 1 gram dissolved in 50 liters of water. Dissolve in dimethylformamide and formamide at 60 ℃. Slightly soluble in methanol and hot glacial acetic acid, almost insoluble in acetone, benzene and chloroform, but easily soluble in dilute alkali and pyridine.
